The owners of this classic century-old home in Manchester had a bold restoration project involving the conversion of a spare bedroom into a master bathroom. New electric and plumbing had to be run from the basement up into the second level. Numerous framing updates were needed and a 2-inch slope on the floor had to be corrected. The ceiling joists were all replaced to stabilize the roof. New insulation and drywall were installed, and the priming and painting completed. Stained oak trim was added, as well as a quartz-topped vanity giving the room a well-finished look. Ceramic tiling the shower from floor to ceiling with a shower bench helped to create the tranquil feeling the clients were looking for. Even the stairway leading to the bathroom was reframed giving it the proper rise height.
